RIBBON ORGANIZATION

See 1 of my ribbon boxes! I have 5 of these. Yes 5! When I go to a crops I am the embellishment girl. I take the ribbons, buttons, brads, eyelets & flowers for everyone to share. My friend takes her Quik Kutz Machine and "ALL" her die cuts, which is alot. This way we don't both drag alot of stuff. It works out great for us.
I wanted to share the way I organize my ribbons with everyone as I have nearly 90 different ribbons stored in this little plastic bin. I think it is actually used for organizing DMC Floss, it sells for about $2.99. I also buy the DMC floss organizer cards to wrap my ribbon on. This is a great space saver. Just imagine how much space you are saving discarding those ribbon spools.

I am off to a Hill Top Memories crop for the weekend in Valrico Florida and I expect to get alot done. Maybe I will get the Tinkering Ink Peekaboo chipboard book done I posted earlier lets hope so. The problem is I am running out of photos so I need to borrow my friends photos to finish the book. Its crazy to do someone else's scrapping but what's a scrapaholic to do!

Build a Bear Layout

What an experience this place is!
I think my daughter has about 6 of these Fuzzy Friends herself and she is 13 yrs old. I guess they never really grow out of stuffed animals.
On this particular visit to Build A Bear she made a special monkey for a friends birthday, whom had moved away. She took her first plane trip alone to delivery her new furry friend she named "AJ" this is for Amber and Jordanna her name and friends name.
This was an adventure worth documenting as I was so sad about her flying alone but I got through it and she found her way just fine.

Happy Scrappin!

PEEKABOO BOOK BY TINKERING INK

Last night I came to the realization that I can not scrapbook everything I have and that I am running out of photos. OMG What's a scrapbooker to do without photos? Guess I will have to take more or reprint them and do different books; like the project here with a Peekaboo Board Book By Tinkering Ink. The paper I will use is by Reminisce the "Genuine Boy Collection" I will accent with bazzil card stock. The colors are perfect and I can't wait till it's done. Here is a sneak peek of what the paper looks like? Check back in a week or so for the finished project.

GREAT FOR BOYS!! UNH!

SENIOR PROM LAYOUTS

It was a great relaxing weekend I did a little scrapping but I finally put my sons School book together. See below are a few photos from his Senior Prom. These layouts came out really nice I thought with the blue paper to match her dress and his car. The prom theme was a masquerade this is why they have on masks in some of the photos. I have several others I uploaded in shutterfly from Grad night and School spirit week. It was a big accomplishment to finish these page last March when I was away on a scrapbooking weekend with friends, I was able to get 65 pages done in 4 days, which were mostly of my sons senior year. Hope you enjoy and are able to gather some good ideas from my layouts.

Shop Shop and more Shopping today

Hit the road today at noon with my scrapping buddy Kelly. We went to Ruban Rouge's Scrap Yard Sale. I wish I would have known about it earlier as they had alot of great deals but most people were packing up when we got there. I still managed to spend plenty!!

Scraporium in Lutz also had an additional 30% off everything in their store. This includes their "Outlet" area. So I really stocked up on supplies. Heck when you can basically get them 50% its a deal. It was a full day and I just finished putting everything away and reorganizing my scrap room!! LOL It is a never ending battle. Looking forward to actually scrapping tomorrow after I take my daughter to the mall to shop for some new clothes she can wear in Spain. Yes I even bought her a scrap book for her trip, at Big Lots, even though she hasn't even left yet.

BTW I found out another crop:

The Boxer Crop at the Art Institute of Tampa on June 12 & 13th. Not sure if I will be able to make it have a baby shower to attend. Have a good one.

Birthday Book for the Cow Girl

This cute little chipboard book I purchased at one of my favorite scrapbook shops called Violettes in Lakeland Florida. A friend of mine's daughter was turning one. The party was a cowgirl theme with pony rides and everything. When I saw this I knew I had to do it for her. Such a nice gift that the family can add their own photos to and enjoy for years to come. Simple but a great piece to leave out for all to view and enjoy forever.

Heritage Scrapbooking

What can I say these photos are absolutely priceless. The boy standing in the buggy is my father who was born in 1946. He appears to be about 6 yrs old in the photo. Our family is from Philadelphia Pennsylvania and they were mennonites, this is the only photo I found that would support their background. Kind of interesting. I had to share this photo with anyone who is interested in genealogy. A great way to dig up old family history is on http://www.ancestry.com/ there is a fee but if you visit your local library you can do your family searches for free. It is very interesting to see where your family lived in the 1930's, what their property was worth or where their parents were from. You might even see that they could read or write english. Each decade of records in the ancestry site offers different information on the families so it is amazing what you can find from the past.

Need that Perfect Word, Title or Layout for Scrapping?

Well today I would just like to share with everyone the tools in which I continually use over and over for inspiration. I do read many scrapbooking magazines but sometimes I need that perfect word or phrase for those pictures I am scrapping. On my profile I refer to 2 books in which I own by Linda Latourelle, The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word & The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Card. I find these books very useful when I can not come up with the word or title I am looking for. I also ultilize this site http://www.idreamofscrapping.com/Titles_Main_Frame.htm
for those of you who would rather not purchase the book and save your $$$ for those neccessary scrap supplies.
As for layout out ideas I refer to this site http://www.pagemaps.com/ Becky Fleck has alot of ideas to share from 12 x 12 layouts, circle layouts, tags & cards and much more.
Thats it for today I will try to prepare some organizational tools for tomorrow for those of you who just can't get it together. It takes time so be patient start small and before you know it you have a scrappin office at home just like I do.

Better late than never Mothers Day gift!

Well I have worked and worked on locating all the old photos of my mother and I over the years. After a month of lots of hours of scrapping I have finally finished my Mothers Day gift "a bit late" but better late then never. She will enjoy this I am sure and it will bring tears to her eyes. All my friends and family have enjoyed viewing this and say how much my daughter looks like I did as a child. Hope all of you are inspired to do something like this for Fathers Day. This brings back so many great memeories of my childhood. Hope all of you enjoy and are inspired too! I will work on posting the entire layout in time.
